El 23 de Septiembre, me sentí mi primer temblor. Fue un valor de 3.9 aproximadamente en el Ricter Scale. Fui leyendo en una silla afuera. No supe por qué la silla se movió pero no pensé nada de lo. Despues, mi padre chileno me informó. Lo mismo día completó el proceso para mi tarjeta de identidad. Todos de mis huellas dactilares son en el sistema ahora. El día, tambien, fue un de dos días de PSU pruebas, examenes de practica como SAT subject tests (pero para estos son manditorio para ellos). Lenguaje y historia fue horible, jaja. Matmaticas, la mejor para mi, fue antes de biología. Biología fue dificil porque muchas de las preguntas tienen una palabra que no sé, y entonces no entendí la pregunta.

September 23, I felt my first tremble. It was a value of approximately 3.9 on the Ricter Scale. I was reading outside on a bench. I didn't know why the bench movied but I didn't think anything of it. After, my Chilean father informed me. The same day, I completed the process for my identity card. All of my fingerprints are in the system now. Also, the day was one of two of PSU tests, practice exams like SAT subject ests (but these are manditory for them). Lenguaje and history were horrible, haha. Math, the best for me, was before biology. Biology was difficult because many of the questions have one word that I don't know, and then I don't understand the question.

El 26 de Septiembre estaba el cumpleaños de mi madre chilena. Algunos partes de la familia vinieron por una fiesta. El miercoles, hubo un otro temblor! Fuimos en psicología. Para ellos, está un excusado para salir clase y ir afuera, pero la profe no permitió ellos y continuó con clase. Estuve listo salir en un momento jaja.

September 26th was my Chilean mom's birthday. Some parts of the family came for a party. On Tuesday, there was another tremble! We were in psycology. For them, it is an excuse to leave class and go outside, but the profesor didn't let them and continued with class. I was ready to leave in a moment haha.

Otras cosas: Me gusta mucho que nosotros tenemos recreo. Yo estoy aprendiendo otra vez tan divertido recreo es! Hay partidos, dormiendo, leyendo, y conversaciones. Reciví un celular y ahora es más fácil para comunicar con mi familia si hay un cambio en los planes. Mi padre chileno trabaja mucho en el norte y viaja allá durante algunas semanas.

Puede creer que el mes está Octubre ya?! Dos meses de escuela y entonces vacaciones de verano =P

Other things: I really like that we have recess. I am learning again how fun recess is! There are games, sleeping, reading, and conversations. I recieved a cell phone and now it is easier to communivate with my family if there is a change in the plans. My Chilean father works a lot in the north and travels there during some of the weeks.

Can you believe that it is the month of October already?! Two months of school and then summer vacation =P

Este fin de semana, fui a un reunión de Rotary para todos de los Inbounds. Visitamos Valapariso y Viña del Mar. Muy lindoooo!Photos acá

La comida fue buenísimo y la gente, mucha divertida. Dormimos en cabañas con cuatra otra personas. Nosotros miramos como touristos en la polera roja que recivimos. Y fue un noche muy tarde. El proximo día Visitamos las playas y tiendas. Las fotos explican mucho mejor de yo. (Pues mire a ellos! jaja) Ádemas, hablamos con nuestros consejeros de los experiencias en el reunión, escuela, familia, y otras cosas. Un tiempo maravilloso!

This weekend, I went to a Rotary meeting with all the Inbounds. We visited Valapariso and Viña del Mar. Very pretty! Photos acá

The food was very good and the people, very fun. We slept in cabins with 4 other people. we looked like tourists in our red polos that we recieved. And it was a late night. The next day we visited the beaches and stores. The photos expain much better than me. (So look at them! haha) Additionally, we spoke with our conselors and the experiences in the orientation, school, family, and other things. A marvelous time!

Dónde trabaja su madre chilena? Trabaja en un salón de uñas.
Where does your Chilean mom work? She works in a nail saloon.

Dónde vive la nana? Tiene un relación biologico? Ella vive en la casa durante la semana y durante el fin de semana en un apartamento en Santiago. Ella no tiene un relación biologico.
Where does the nana live? Is she a family member (biologically)? She lives in the house during the week and during the weekend, in an apartement in Santiago. She is not a biological member of the family.

Cómo te sientes? Extrañas tu país y hogar? Es mejor la mayor parte del tiempo. =] Es una cosa que puede ser muy bien un segundo y mal el proximo, pero estoy muy bien en este momento.
How do you feel? Do you miss you home? It is better most of the time. =] It is a thing sthat can be very good one second and bad the next, but I am good at this moment.

Juegas volibol todos los días? No, solamente lunes, martes, y miercoles.
Do you play volleyball every day? No, only monday, tuesday, and wednesday.

Cómo es tu español? Es mejor que antes pero necesito aprender más vocabulario y trabajar con los conjugaciones. Tambien, tengo un accento gringo porque pronouncio las palabras con mucho definición, no chileno.
How is your spanish? It is better than before buy I need to learn more vocabulary and to work on the conjugations. Also, I have a gringo accent because I pronounce the words with a lot of definition, not chilean.

Piensas que tu español, que tú aprendiste antes de viniendo, te está sirviendo bien? Sí, porque yo puedo communicar qué necesito. Aúnque conversación es muy diferente de clase y porque es mucho más rápido. Personas dicen que estoy muy buena con español pero ellos tuvieron una chica el año pasado que no entendió nada cuando ella vino. Pero nunca en mi vida he sentido cómo sé tan mucho y tan pequeno en lo mismo tiempo.
Do you think that your spanish, that you learned before coming, is serving you well?
Yes, because I can communicate what I need. Though conversationg is very different from class because it is a lot faster. People say that I am very good with spanish but they had a girl the past year that didn't understand anything when she came.

But never in my life have I felt that I know so much and so little at the same time.
